Gwangju University Selected as the Only Regional Host Institution for the 'First-Time Youth Startup Support Project'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Yoon Jamin] Gwangju University (President Kim Hyukjong) Startup Support Group announced on the 8th that it has been selected as the host institution for the ‘2021 First-Time Youth Startup Support Project’ organized by the Ministry of SMEs and Startups.
Gwangju University is the only institution in the Honam and Jeju regions to host the ‘First-Time Youth Startup Support Project.’
Gwangju University aims to discover promising startup talents and strengthen the capabilities of young entrepreneurs through the ‘First-Time Youth Startup Support Project,’ providing up to 20 million KRW in commercialization funds for startup items, expert mentoring, networking, and more.
Following the selection for this project, Gwangju University is recruiting participants until the 20th. Applications can be submitted online through the K-Startup website.
The support target is youth under the age of 29 who have a startup company established within one year from the announcement date, and 10 startup companies will be selected for support.
The selection evaluation will proceed in four stages: ▲eligibility review ▲document evaluation ▲presentation evaluation ▲final selection.
Based on the evaluation results of the startup companies and the appropriateness of their business plans, commercialization funds will be provided differentially.
