Jangseong-gun Opens 'Ansan Dullegil' Trail... Artificial Waterfall Created
[Jangseong=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Jo Hangyu] Jangseong-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Yoo Doo-seok) announced on the 8th that a trail has been opened on Ansan in Gisan-ri, Jangseong-eup.
Ansan is a low mountain located in the Gisan-ri area, and last year in June, the county created a deck trail on Ansan extending from in front of Jangseong Jeil Church to around Seoksongdae.
Walking along the forest path while feeling the fresh breeze, the heavy body and mind become much lighter. Also, upon reaching the observatory, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the Hwangryong River at a glance.
The county had restricted access for a while due to flood damage caused by record-breaking heavy rain that occurred on August 30 last year after 30 years, and established a disaster recovery budget of 200 million won including national and provincial funds. Recently, the construction was completed and the trail was reopened.
Along with the restoration work, the scale of the trail was also expanded, increasing the deck trail from the existing 440m to 500m, enhancing the walking experience.
Benches were installed in various places so visitors can rest for a while under the shade of trees, and nearby there is also Seoksongdae.
Seoksongdae is a large rock that can seat 5 to 6 adults, known as the place where Mr. Lee Ki-nam, a coal miner, and Mr. Jeong Cheol, a scholar from Songgang, composed poetry and discussed academics in the past.
The county is currently creating an artificial waterfall at the lower part of the Ansan trail towards Hwangryong-myeon, with completion expected around September.
Governor Yoo Doo-seok said, “I am pleased to have quickly completed the disaster recovery of the Ansan trail in Gisan-ri and to reopen it to the residents. In the future, we will install an artificial waterfall and night lighting to provide richer attractions.”
