Choi Young-sam, spokesperson for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated at a regular briefing on the 8th, "We extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved family and the people of Haiti."
Spokesperson Choi said, "In this shocking situation of President Mo?se's death, we hope the people of Haiti will unite and quickly restore political and social stability," adding, "Our government will continue to cooperate with the Haitian government and the international community for the stability of Haiti."
There have been no reported casualties among our nationals residing in Haiti. Spokesperson Choi said, "We are receiving real-time updates through the Embassy in the Dominican Republic," and "There are currently no particular safety concerns for our nationals living in Haiti."
