On that day, Jin, as the first speaker at the event "Direct Listening, the 2022 Presidential Election and the Justice Party," planned by the Justice Party's 20th presidential election preparation team, said, "Progressivism as a value has collapsed, and only factions as interest groups remain."
He criticized, "The problem is that the entire progressive camp defended (the Cho Kuk incident)," adding, "It showed that the issue was not just an individual's deviation but a problem with the mentality of the entire camp."
Also, Jin strongly criticized, "In the Democratic Party of Korea, Cho Kuk is equivalent to Roh Moo-hyun, and Roh Moo-hyun is equivalent to Cho Kuk," saying, "They are selling out the symbol of progressivism." He continued, "The Democratic Party does all the bad things in the name of former President Roh Moo-hyun," and added, "How much have they defiled Roh Moo-hyun's death?"
He lashed out at the Democratic Party, saying, "The problem is their arrogance that refuses to admit their mistakes or corruption," and "Yet they disguise themselves as righteous and even destroy the rule of law. They are completely broken and beyond repair."
Meanwhile, Jin pointed out, "The current leader of the Democratic Party is not Song Young-gil but Kim Eo-jun." He said, "If Kim Eo-jun says that accountant Kim Kyung-ryul was poorly recruited, then it is a mistake, and if he tells Kang Hoon-sik, head of the presidential primary planning team, 'You were wrong, apologize,' then Kang apologizes."
Then Jin emphasized, "The Justice Party must restore politics," adding, "To do so, the Justice Party must lead ahead of others. I believe progressivism is about pioneering values to be realized 100 years from now."
Furthermore, he said, "We must break away from being the Democratic Party's lapdog," and "That party is completely broken and beyond repair. We must not become the Democratic Party's second fiddle."
