The Shinhan Heart Umbrella event was inspired by the fact that children's visibility is reduced when using umbrellas on rainy days, increasing the risk of traffic accidents. Participants share photos of children sharing umbrellas on social networking services (SNS), and based on the number of participants, transparent umbrellas that children can safely use on rainy days are produced and donated.
A total of 2,064 people, including announcers, comedians, actors, broadcasters, and other famous influencers who sympathized with the purpose of "paying attention to children's safety," participated in the event. Accordingly, about 3,000 Shinhan Heart Umbrellas will be donated to 50 children's centers and elementary schools nationwide, including branch schools located on islands where it rains frequently.
The Shinhan Heart Umbrella is made using thick, specially treated vinyl that is not easily torn, with highly saturated colors that spread like watercolor to make children of low height visible on rainy days. It is produced in a size large enough to be used not only by children alone but also together with adults.

A Shinhan Bank official said, "We have gathered the hearts of participants to start paying attention to children's safety during the rainy season and acted as a representative, but the main agents who created the results of this donation are not the bank but the customers and citizens," adding, "We will continue to think ahead and pay attention and act for customers and the world."
