Gochang-gun Awarded 'Excellence Prize' in National Local Government Job Competition

[Gochang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Jeonbuk Gochang-gun (Governor Yu Gisang) announced on the 8th that it was selected as an Excellence Award in the 2020 Regional Job Target Disclosure category at the ‘2021 National Local Government Job Awards’ hosted by the Ministry of Employment and Labor.

Along with the Minister of Employment and Labor’s Commendation, it secured a financial incentive of 70 million KRW.

The Regional Job Target Disclosure system is a system in which local government heads annually disclose and implement job creation goals and measures tailored to regional characteristics and conditions to residents during their term.

It comprehensively evaluates the job creation will, plans, execution, and performance of 243 local governments nationwide to select outstanding local governments.

In this evaluation, the county received favorable reviews for its job project promotion strategy considering regional conditions, such as job creation through focused cultivation of the regional specialized industry, the agricultural life food industry.

Governor Yu Gisang said, “The job creation plan through revitalization of the agricultural life-agricultural food industry received an excellent evaluation,” and added, “We will continue to raise residents’ life satisfaction through systematic job creation by fostering new industries and attracting companies to industrial complexes.”
