[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyung-min] The High-ranking Officials' Crime Investigation Agency (HOGOA) has completed the selection of a contractor for the Criminal Justice Information System (KICS) project.
According to the Public Procurement Service's Nara Marketplace on the 6th, HOGOA selected LG CNS, the sole participant in the 'KICS Construction Project,' as the contractor. The project amount is 8.589 billion KRW.
Accordingly, HOGOA will begin the construction of KICS, including electronic systems for case transfer and recognition notification with investigative agencies such as the prosecution and police, investigation and trial support systems, and document management and electronic approval systems.
Previously, HOGOA announced the KICS project bid in May, but it was twice canceled due to no participants.
