Tesla Storm, Model 3 Tops Imported Car Sales Last Month
[Asia Economy Reporter Changhwan Lee] Tesla's electric vehicle 'Model 3' ranked first in imported car sales last month.
According to Kaizyu Data Research Institute on the 6th, the number of new registrations of Tesla Model 3 in June was 2,884, an increase of 2,758 units compared to May. Tesla Model Y recorded third place in imported car sales with 1,972 units.
Tesla ranked first in imported car sales in May by selling 3,328 units of Model Y, and last month took first place with Model 3.
Second place was BMW 5 Series (2,021 units), fourth was Mercedes-Benz S-Class (1,682 units), and fifth was Mercedes-Benz E-Class (1,181 units). The Mercedes-Benz E-Class, a representative best-selling imported car model, saw its sales volume decrease by 50% compared to the previous month.

Last month, the sales volume by imported car brand was led by Mercedes-Benz with 6,845 units, BMW with 6,503 units in second place, and Tesla with 4,860 units in third place.
