[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Choi Soon-kyung] Jinju City, Gyeongnam Province, announced that it will newly promote the 'Postpartum Care Cost Support Project' to reduce the economic burden on families with newborns for the purpose of encouraging childbirth.
Among families who have registered a birth in the city, citizens who have had an address for 3 months (90 days) or more from the date of birth will receive a one-time cash support of 500,000 KRW per childbirth, regardless of the number of births or income.
It is also expected to contribute to alleviating the economic burden on families with newborns and creating a childbirth-friendly atmosphere through support for health management of mothers and newborns and other matters.

The support applies to newborns born after July 1, 2021, and applications can be made at the eup/myeon offices and dong administrative welfare centers when registering the birth.
