Asiana Airlines Operates Flights to Hawaii During Chuseok Holiday
[Asia Economy Reporter Dongwoo Lee] Asiana Airlines announced on the 6th that it will operate two flights to Hawaii during the Chuseok holiday.
The Incheon-Hawaii charter flights will depart Incheon Airport at 8:20 PM on September 17 and 21, arriving at Honolulu Airport at 10:30 AM on the same day. Additionally, flights will depart Honolulu Airport at 12:10 PM on September 21 and 25, returning to Incheon Airport at 5:10 PM the following day.
The charter flights can be booked through the websites of nine domestic travel agencies: Kyowon KRT, Norangpungseon, Lotte Tour, Lotte JTB, Modetour, Onlinetour, Interpark, Chamjoeun Travel, and Hanatour.
Currently, the state of Hawaii allows travelers to visit without a mandatory 10-day quarantine if they receive a negative COVID-19 test result from a designated hospital, regardless of vaccination status. However, travelers must take a COVID-19 test within 72 hours before departure to Hawaii and register related information on Hawaii's online 'Safe Travels' system within 24 hours before departure.
An Asiana Airlines representative said, "With increasing vaccination rates, the desire for overseas travel is also rising," adding, "We have prepared special flights to Hawaii during the Chuseok holiday using the latest aircraft, the A350."

Meanwhile, besides the Hawaii charter flights, Asiana Airlines will resume weekly regular flights to Saipan starting from the 24th, following the first 'Travel Bubble' agreement. Under the travel bubble agreement with the Northern Mariana Islands government, group travelers who have completed vaccination in Korea can travel to Saipan and the Northern Mariana Islands without quarantine upon confirmation of a negative COVID-19 test.
