SC First Bank Hosts 'Asset Management Seminar' in Metaverse... BlackRock's Larry Fink Special Lecture
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] SC First Bank announced on the 5th that it will hold a 'Digital Wealthcare Seminar' in the metaverse (extended virtual reality world).
The seminar, themed "From Recovery to Sustainable Growth," will be conducted by asset management (WM) experts from its parent company, Standard Chartered (SC) Group. It is scheduled to be held on the 21st. Considering the COVID-19 situation, the seminar will be held non-face-to-face. A seminar space will be established in the metaverse, which is gaining attention as the next-generation business platform.
In Part 1, Steve Bryce, Group WM Head of Investment Strategy, and Park Soon-hyun, Head of Investment Strategy Products at SC First Bank, will give lectures. They will cover market outlook and investment strategies for the second half of this year. The financial market in the second half is expected to grow moderately but continuously, maintaining a preference for stocks similar to the first half. However, they emphasize the need to mitigate risks through portfolio diversification during the investment process.
In Part 2, Larry Fink, CEO of BlackRock, the world's largest asset management company, will deliver a special lecture. The topic is "The Economy After the COVID-19 Pandemic." Director Kim Jae-eun will continue with a lecture on "Korea's ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) Trends."
