Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries Provides Integrated Radiation Information on Seafood and Coastal Waters
[Sejong=Asia Economy Reporter Kwon Haeyoung] The Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries announced on the 4th that starting from the 5th, marine radiation information will be provided in an integrated manner through the Ministry of Oceans and Fisheries website.
Accordingly, radiation survey results for coastal waters, domestically produced and distributed seafood, ship ballast water, and seawater discharge areas of live fish transport vehicles will be disclosed.
Radiation survey results for seafood, which were previously released every two weeks, will now be shared weekly. Radiation survey results for 39 domestic coastal monitoring points, which were provided once a year, will be made available immediately upon completion of radiation analysis by nuclide and survey period.
Additionally, information on marine radiation surveys of offshore waters conducted by the Nuclear Safety and Security Commission, as well as radiation surveys of domestically distributed and imported seafood by the Ministry of Food and Drug Safety, will also be provided.
