View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Heung-soon] Kim Ki-nam, Vice Chairman of Samsung Electronics, urged the company's employees to uphold corporate social responsibility and individual compliance culture.
According to industry sources on the 2nd, Vice Chairman Kim emphasized in a CEO message sent via internal email to employees of the Device Solutions (DS) division the previous day, "Let's establish a corporate culture befitting a global company and become responsible members of society."
He wrote, "As corporate social responsibility becomes increasingly important, we must develop Samsung's unique sustainable management. Each employee must comply with laws as the main agents of compliance management and continuously strive to firmly establish compliance as our culture."
He also noted the rapidly changing business environment and urged employees to respond promptly. Kim said, "With the digital transformation, daily life and industries are changing rapidly, customer demands are becoming more complex, and corporate environments are evolving with increasing social responsibility and eco-friendly requirements."
He added, "We must proactively respond to avoid being shaken by these massive environmental changes. Let's change and innovate the way we work in all business areas, not overlook inefficiencies, and fundamentally reform unreasonable aspects, making innovation activities a true part of our DNA."
He also emphasized the spirit of service toward global customers in the semiconductor business. Kim stated, "In the face of global uncertainties, we must check whether there has been any negligence in customer response and respond proactively. Let's understand market and customer needs through diverse channels and networks and strive to improve product development and production operation systems."
