JT Chin-Ae Savings Bank Launches Special Fixed Deposit Offer... Up to 2.05% Annual Interest Rate
[Asia Economy Reporter Song Seung-seop] JT Chin-ae Savings Bank launched three special deposit products on the 2nd. The products are 'Non-face-to-face Fixed Deposit', 'Regular Fixed Deposit', and 'Rotating Fixed Deposit', with a total limit of 50 billion KRW.
The Non-face-to-face Fixed Deposit offers an annual interest rate of 2.05% for a 12-month maturity, which is 0.25 percentage points higher than before. For the same maturity, the Regular Fixed Deposit offers an increased interest rate of 1.95%, up by 0.15 percentage points. For 24 months or longer, the interest rate is also 2.05%. The Rotating Fixed Deposit is a product with interest rates that change annually, and customers who subscribe to a product with a maturity of 36 months or more can enjoy a 2.05% interest rate benefit.
The subscription methods vary by product. The Non-face-to-face Fixed Deposit can be subscribed through the JT Chin-ae Savings Bank or the Savings Bank Central Association's mobile application (app). The Regular Fixed Deposit can be subscribed at branches or via internet banking, and the Rotating Fixed Deposit can be subscribed through branches and online channels.
JT Chin-ae Savings Bank explained that the interest rates of the special products are higher than the industry average deposit rates. According to the Savings Bank Central Association, as of the end of last month, the interest rate for 12-month fixed deposit products was 1.78%.
