[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Jungnang-gu (Mayor Ryu Kyung-gi) has taken the initiative to protect residents' safety by producing the first-ever instructional video on how to operate submersible pumps in a district, in preparation for heavy summer rains.
A submersible pump is equipment that can quickly remove water from flooded areas and is considered a key recovery tool during flood damage. However, as specialized equipment, it can be difficult for residents to use for the first time, and the instruction leaflets provided when renting from community centers were insufficient for detailed operational guidance.
To address this, the district created a detailed instructional video so residents can quickly learn how to use the submersible pump when needed and operate it smoothly in real situations. The video was uploaded on the Jungnang-gu Office website and YouTube channel.
The video is designed to help residents who are new to the equipment understand easily and use it correctly, covering ▲pump structure ▲operation method ▲precautions during operation ▲rental and instruction leaflets in detail.

Additionally, any Jungnang-gu resident can rent a submersible pump at the nearest community service center or rainwater pump station.
