Damyang-gun Successfully Completes 'Multicultural Family Parent-Child Integration Program'
Parents and Children Experience Horseback Riding, Natural Dyeing, and Cookie Making Together
[Damyang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Chunsu] The Damyang County Youth Counseling and Welfare Center announced on the 1st that it conducted a program aimed at boosting the self-esteem of multicultural family youth in the area, promoting their growth as healthy members of society, and fostering strong family bonds through positive parent-child interactions and experiential activities.
This program was carried out in collaboration with the Damyang County Healthy Family and Multicultural Family Support Center, targeting 10 multicultural families in the region.
The activities included an art therapy program for youth, horseback riding experiences for parents and children together, and various hands-on activities such as making pizza, cake, organic cookies, natural dyeing, and soap making.
A parent who participated in the program expressed gratitude, saying, "It was an opportunity to step away from the daily fatigue and parenting stress caused by COVID-19, understand my child better through experiential activities, and become closer with other families in similar situations."
