View original image[Asia Economy Reporter Yoon Dong-joo] All nine presidential candidates of the Democratic Party of Korea attended the 'Pledge for Fair Election and Press Day' event held on the 1st at the Glass Hotel in Yeouido, Seoul.
The event was attended by nine candidates?Chu Mi-ae, Lee Kwang-jae, Lee Jae-myung, Chung Sye-kyun, Lee Nak-yon, Park Yong-jin, Yang Seung-jo, Choi Moon-soon, and Kim Du-kwan (in order of ballot numbers)?as well as the entire party leadership including Representative Song Young-gil.
The candidates took a pledge to practice fair elections, followed by a Q&A session with reporters during the 'People’s Interview Part 1: Meeting the People for the First Time, Tough Questions' press day event.
The candidates are scheduled to hold additional 'People’s Interview' events on the 4th and 7th, replacing the traditional joint speeches.
TV debates will be held four times on the 3rd, 5th, 6th, and 8th.

The Democratic Party will conduct a three-day preliminary primary starting on the 9th and finalize six candidates for the main primary on the 11th.
