On the 1st, Naver Cloud announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Samsung Engineering to build a digital transformation (DT) solution-based global business-to-business (B2B) platform.
The two companies will apply Samsung's developed DT technology solutions to the Naver Cloud platform and collaborate on development. They will also jointly build an e-commerce platform. The Naver Cloud platform and Samsung Engineering plan to link various technology solutions currently being developed based on DT.
Naver Cloud provides cloud infrastructure technology, which serves as the foundation for innovation, to companies building their own DT solutions, offering solutions tailored to corporate needs ranging from AI, analytics, to business applications. This collaboration with Samsung Engineering is also expected to present a new innovation case in the Contech (construction technology) sector.
Samsung Engineering will actively utilize Naver Cloud's extensive e-commerce experience and technology to enter the plant construction materials e-commerce market. Initially, they will select items with good market potential for a pilot project and gradually expand the product range and network.
Moon Deok-gyu, Executive Vice President and Head of the Solution Business Division at Samsung Engineering, stated, "We plan to actively discover and commercialize innovative ideas and achievements," adding, "Through this, we will secure a leading position in the Contech market and further advance as a global technology solution company."
