According to Gwangju University on the 30th, Yang Ji-won (forward, 2nd year), who ranked first in scoring in the preliminary rounds of the 1st and 3rd university league tournaments this year, along with Park Sae-byeol (forward, 2nd year), Kim Won-ji (center, 2nd year), and Yoo E-bi (guard, 1st year) will participate in the Park Shin-ja Cup Summer League held at Tongyeong Gymnasium from the 11th to the 16th of next month. Coach Cha Ji-young will join as a coach for the university selection team.
In particular, Yoo E-bi is attracting attention as the only first-year student to be named to the university selection team.
The university selection team, included in Group B of this tournament, will have group preliminaries against six WKBL teams and the under-19 (U-19) national team, and depending on their performance, will advance to the semifinals and finals.
The university selection team will face Busan BNK in their first match on the 11th of next month, followed by matches against Cheongju KB Stars and Yongin Samsung Life.

Meanwhile, the Park Shin-ja Cup, first held in 2015, is organized annually by the Korean Women's Basketball League (WKBL) in honor of Mrs. Park, who was the first Asian inducted into the Women's Basketball Hall of Fame player category in 1999 and led South Korea to the runner-up position at the 1967 Women's Basketball World Championship.
