Jung Jun-seok Holds Honorary Retirement Ceremony as Jinju City Deputy Mayor

On the 29th, Jinju City held the honorary retirement ceremony for the 22nd Deputy Mayor Jeong Jun-seok at the City Hall Citizen Hall.
At the retirement ceremony, Mayor Jo Gyu-il of Jinju City, along with family, relatives, and public officials, attended to celebrate Deputy Mayor Jeong’s honorable retirement and to support his new beginning.
Deputy Mayor Jeong was born in Geochang and began his public service career in 1982 as a public official in Geochang County. He served as the Gyeongnam Provincial Office’s Education Support Officer, Auditor, and other positions. In late December 2020, he was appointed as Deputy Mayor of Jinju, where he served until his retirement this time.
Deputy Mayor Jeong said, “Wherever I worked, I made it a principle to strive to be the best nationwide, using this as a compass in my public service career to avoid losing my way. This greatly helped me throughout my career. I am grateful to my family and colleagues around me who helped me successfully conclude over 38 years of public service.”
He continued, “I consider it a great honor to have served as Deputy Mayor of Jinju City. Although I am now leaving my post to start my second life, I will always wish for the development of Jinju wherever I am.”
