Gwangju Seo-gu Holds 'Sharing Happiness Farm Activities'
[Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Shin Dong-ho] Seo-gu, Gwangju Metropolitan City (Mayor Seo Dae-seok) announced on the 29th that it recently carried out the 'Happiness Farm Sharing Activity' targeting 40 households of dementia-registered elderly at the Dementia Safety Center.
For this sharing activity, since April, the elderly at nine senior centers in Sangmu 2-dong, designated as a Dementia Safety Village, along with dementia-specialized volunteers called 'Parangsae Messengers,' have been growing various crops such as lettuce, perilla leaves, and peppers in a garden, harvesting them to create 'Happiness Packages.'
The 'Happiness Packages' were personally delivered to the recipients' homes by the dementia-specialized volunteers 'Parangsae Messengers,' and will be distributed monthly until November.
