Jongno-gu '3rd Anniversary Event of the 7th Elected Term'... Reflecting on 11 Years of Progress
Starting from the 5th Elected Term, Reviewing 11 Years of District Achievements and Sharing the Values Pursued by Jongno... Commemorative Ceremony Introducing ‘Changsin Art Hall,’ Transformed into a Cultural and Artistic Space for Residents
[Asia Economy Reporter Park Jong-il] Jongno-gu (Mayor Kim Young-jong) will hold the '3rd Anniversary Event of the 7th Elected Term' at Changsin Art Hall in the Jongno-gu Community Center on July 1st from 10:30 AM.
This event marks the 3rd anniversary of the 7th elected term and aims to review the district administration achievements over the past 11 years since the 5th elected term and share the values pursued by Jongno with residents and staff in a meaningful way.
In particular, the event gains significance by linking the ceremony with the introduction of Changsin Art Hall, which has been reborn as a place providing residents with a life enriched by culture.
Starting at 10:30 AM, the 'Changsin Art Hall Completion Ceremony' will be held with the attendance of members of the National Assembly, city and district council members, representatives of each neighborhood, residents, and staff. This ceremony announces the transformation of the old and deteriorated auditorium of the community center into a cultural and artistic space for Jongno residents, after improving sound and seating facilities and holding a naming contest.
To commemorate this, the pre-ceremony performance will feature the Jongno living culture club 'Hyungwanmun Classic Ensemble,' presenting a splendid stage combining violin, flute, cello, and more. The ceremony will continue with a ribbon-cutting to celebrate the completion, a progress report on the creation of Changsin Art Hall, and the presentation of plaques of appreciation and commendations.
Additionally, from 10:40 AM, the '3rd Anniversary Ceremony of the 7th Elected Term' will be held. It aims to share the changes in Jongno over 11 years and widely promote the values Jongno-gu should pursue in response to global disasters such as COVID-19.
Following the mayor's commemorative speech, there will be congratulatory speeches from guests and a Nanta performance as a congratulatory stage. A small exhibition titled '11 Years of Love for Jongno' will also be held. It is designed to allow residents and staff to empathize with Jongno's growth process from 2010 to the present through a photo exhibition of the district newsletter 'Jongno Love' and books published by Jongno-gu over the years.
