"If Fruit Tastes Bad, Exchange or Refund" Lotte Mart Introduces '100% Taste Guarantee System'
Unconditional Exchange and Refund '100% Taste Guarantee System' for Fruit Satisfaction Compensation Program
"Confidence in Taste and Quality with Premium Brands 'Hwanggeum Dangdo' and 'Sanji Ttukshim' Project"
[Asia Economy Reporter Yuri Kim] Lotte Mart announced on the 29th that it will introduce a '100% Taste Guarantee System' for fruits and vegetables.
The 100% Taste Guarantee System is a quality assurance program that allows customers who purchase fruits and vegetables to receive unconditional exchange or refund if they are not satisfied with the taste. Customers who wish to exchange or refund can visit the 'We Will Help You' section at each Lotte Mart branch within 7 days of purchase with the receipt.
Representative products under the 100% Taste Guarantee include 'Soft and Crispy Peaches (5-8 pieces·box·domestic)' sold for 11,800 KRW, 'Gyeongsan Wachon Plums (800g·pack·domestic)' for 6,980 KRW, and 'Fresh Glutinous Corn (1 piece·domestic)' for 990 KRW.
Lotte Mart cited confidence in the taste and quality of fresh food as the reason for introducing the 100% Taste Guarantee System. Since 2018, through the premium brand 'Hwanggeum Dangdo,' Lotte Mart carefully selects and sells fruits that meet its own standards, including those with about 20% higher sugar content than regular fruits, new varieties, or those cultivated with differentiated farming methods.
Since 2014, Lotte Mart has introduced local food to provide stable sales channels to farmers and supply excellent products to customers, thereby establishing a virtuous cycle structure that revitalizes the regional economy based on producers. The 'Korea Sanji Ttukshim' project is being implemented to expand local food, conducting various activities such as product development, producer group education, and establishing internal quality standards.
Since last year, considering customer demand for freshness, Lotte Mart has strengthened its competitiveness in fresh food with the theme of 'Ultra-Fresh Fresh Food.' Consumer demand is also high. For example, the 'No Label Dawn Jujube Cherry Tomatoes,' harvested at dawn and sold in stores in the afternoon, launched by Lotte Mart earlier this year, saw a 68% sales increase in May compared to the previous month.
