Jin Cheol Jeong, CEO of Sampyo Railway, Receives Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Commendation
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Jong-hwa] Jung In-cheol, CEO of Sampyo Railway, received a commendation from the Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport for his contributions to the development of the railway industry.
On the 28th, CEO Jung received the commendation from Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Noh Hyung-wook at the '2021 Railway Day Ceremony' held at the Millennium Hilton Seoul Hotel.
CEO Jung has contributed to the successful completion of major national railway projects such as the Gyeongbu High-Speed Railway and Seoul Subway Line 9 over the past 40 years in the construction industry. In particular, he was highly recognized for domesticating high-speed turnouts, which previously relied on overseas technology and parts, and for expanding the application of Precast Slab Track System (PSTS), thereby enhancing the competitiveness of domestic railway technology.
