According to the Mokpo Coast Guard Station on the 28th, at around 11:20 a.m. on the 27th, a report was received that fishing vessel A (1.75t, coastal composite, Mokpo-registered), moored at the small pier in Bukhang, Mokpo City, Jeollanam-do, was flooding.
The Coast Guard dispatched a patrol team from the substation and the West Sea Special Rescue Unit to the scene, checked the vessel's safety status, and quickly shut off the fuel valve to prevent an oil spill accident.
Then, through a crane company arranged by the captain, the Coast Guard salvaged vessel A onto land at around 1:14 p.m. that day and moved it to a safe location.
Thanks to the prompt response of the Mokpo Coast Guard, there were no casualties or marine pollution caused by the flooding of vessel A.
