LG OLED TV Installed in the Main Hall of Kazakh National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater
[Asia Economy Reporter Kim Hyewon] LG Electronics recently announced on the 27th that it has signed a three-year sponsorship agreement with the National Academic Opera and Ballet Theater in Almaty, southeastern Kazakhstan, and installed LG OLED TVs and Ultra HD TVs until 2024.
The LG OLED TV (model 65CX) is displayed in the main halls on the 1st and 2nd floors of the theater, showing performance information and real-time performance status. An LG Electronics official said, "Since the main hall is the first place visitors to the theater encounter, we expect that the innovative technology and beauty of the LG OLED TV installed here will further enhance the artistic value of the interior space of the performance hall."
The LG Ultra HD TVs (models 75UN7100 and 65UN7350) are installed on the interior walls of the performance hall to provide subtitles related to the performances. Since operas are usually performed in the original language, audiences often refer to the subtitles displayed inside the theater.
This theater is also called the Abai Opera House, named after Abai Kunanbayev, Kazakhstan's national poet and philosopher, making it a cultural and artistic center of Kazakhstan. Due to the influence of the former Soviet republic era, performing arts such as opera and ballet have particularly developed in Kazakhstan.
LG Electronics continues premium marketing that combines OLED TVs with culture and arts. Since last year, it has also signed a sponsorship agreement with the Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts in Moscow, Russia, and is exhibiting the LG SIGNATURE OLED 8K. Recently, Australian artist David MacLeod's 3D art was showcased on LG Electronics' billboards in New York Times Square and London's Piccadilly Circus, promoting the aesthetic and technological value of OLED TVs.
