Pianist Cho Seong-jin to Release New Chopin Album in August
[Asia Economy Reporter Donghyun Choi] Pianist Seong-Jin Cho is returning with a Chopin album.
According to Universal Music on the 25th, Seong-Jin Cho will release an album containing 'Chopin Piano Concerto No. 2' and 'Four Scherzos' on August 26. Among them, the audio and music video of 'Chopin Scherzo No. 2' will be released online first on the same day.
Universal Music stated that although Seong-Jin Cho has performed 'Piano Concerto No. 2' on several stages such as his 2018 BBC Proms debut, this is his first recording. They also added that since Chopin left only two piano concertos during his lifetime, this recording holds special significance in completing the set.
The digital album and the deluxe version released in Korea will include three additional pieces by Chopin: 'Revolutionary Etude,' 'Impromptu No. 1,' and 'Nocturne No. 2.'

Meanwhile, Seong-Jin Cho will be the main performer at the park concert held by the performance planning company Credia on August 27-28 at the 88 Lawn Square in Olympic Park.
