Miryang-si Promotes Private Forest Management Plan Project ... Supporting 100ha
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] On the 24th, Miryang City in Gyeongnam announced that it will carry out a project to create forest management plans free of charge for private forests.
The forest management plan is conducted to efficiently manage forests in accordance with the provisions of the "Act on the Creation and Management of Forest Resources," and is a comprehensive 10-year management plan for sustainable forest management, including afforestation, forest tending, timber production, forestry production infrastructure, and income-generating projects.
The plan must be prepared by the forest owner or a forestry technician, and for the 100 hectares of forest selected this time, the city will directly commission forestry technicians and bear all the preparation costs.
Priority will be given to private forests owned by independent foresters and forestry successors, delegated management forestlands, and economic forest cultivation complexes. Applications can be made at the Miryang City Forestry Cooperative or the relevant eup, myeon, or dong administrative welfare centers.
