Boat A attempted to extinguish the fire on its own, but as the flames grew larger, it was judged impossible to extinguish, and a rescue request was made to a nearby vessel. It is known that boat B (registered in Jeju City, 7.93 tons, coastal composite with 5 crew members) rescued all 16 crew members on board.
