Yeonggwang-gun Launches 'Cardiovascular and Cerebrovascular Disease Prevention and Management Campaign'
[Yeonggwang=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Seong-jeong] Jeollanam-do Yeonggwang-gun (Governor Kim Jun-seong) announced on the 23rd that on the 21st, it conducted the ‘Know Your Vascular Numbers’ campaign at Baeksu-eup Welfare Center to prevent and manage cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases.
‘Know Your Vascular Numbers’ is a campaign encouraging individuals to know and manage their own blood pressure, blood sugar, and cholesterol levels for healthy vascular care.
On that day, the campaign provided basic health checkups and health consultations to about 250 elderly job project participants and residents, distributed booklets on lifestyle guidelines for preventing and managing cardiovascular and cerebrovascular diseases, and health kits, while emphasizing the importance of proper treatment and management of these diseases.
Support for cataract medical expenses, national cancer screening and cancer treatment expense support, healthy lifestyle practice projects, community-centered rehabilitation projects, smoking cessation projects, and infectious disease prevention guidelines, among other health projects, were also promoted.
