Hwasun-gun to Partially Open 'Baegasan Natural Recreation Forest' from the 5th of Next Month
[Hwasun=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Ji-woon] Hwasun-gun, Jeollanam-do (Governor Gu Chung-gon) announced on the 23rd that the ‘Baegasan Natural Recreation Forest,’ which has been closed since November last year to prevent COVID-19, will partially reopen from the 5th of next month in accordance with Jeollanam-do’s social distancing guidelines.
At Baegasan Natural Recreation Forest, only 11 rooms accommodating up to 8 people each among the lodging facilities will be opened on a limited basis, and the number of occupants per room cannot exceed the set limit. However, direct family members may use the facilities even if the number exceeds 8.
To use the recreation forest, reservations can be made through the ‘Sumnadle e’ website.
The county has completed cleaning and disinfection of all facilities to alleviate visitors’ concerns about COVID-19 infection, and according to government quarantine guidelines, all entrants will undergo a temperature check, with entry restricted if the temperature is 37.5° or higher.
During the closure of Baegasan Natural Recreation Forest, repairs were made to aging facilities such as roof repairs, and the surrounding environment was maintained. Reflecting the increasing demand for forest recreation, one forest house within the natural recreation forest was rebuilt, and the access road and parking lot were improved.
Old windows were also replaced to enhance visitor convenience.
