According to the county on the 22nd, on the 21st, a first-half rapid execution strategy briefing was held, presided over by Deputy Governor Kang Sang-gu, with attendance from heads of related departments and divisions, as well as managers and team leaders.
At the briefing, the overall progress of 261 projects with unfinished amounts exceeding 200 million KRW among the first-half rapid execution target projects was reviewed, and a final execution plan was established by June.
In particular, a detailed review focused on identifying reasons and preparing solutions for projects lagging behind the original plan among the main budget projects and carryover projects.
The county plans to concentrate administrative efforts until the end of June and execute 302 billion KRW, which is 64.6% of the 647.4 billion KRW allocated for rapid execution.
Since the beginning of the year, Haenam-gun has been fully committed to managing local finances to stimulate the local economy and vitality in response to COVID-19 by actively utilizing the Ministry of the Interior and Safety’s rapid execution guidelines such as advance payments, progress payments, and prior notification of government-supplied materials according to the monthly execution plan.
Haenam-gun, having entered the era of 1 trillion KRW in local finances since 2019, achieved a record-high execution rate of 82.1% last year by executing 896.2 billion KRW out of a budget of 1.0918 trillion KRW.
This is interpreted as the result of actively managing finances to recover the local economy depressed by COVID-19 based on a stable project management system despite the expanded financial scale.
