This year, Miryang City's strawberry export amount to Hong Kong surpassed 900,000 USD.
The taste and quality of the strawberries, as well as the claim management and sorting capabilities of Miryang Nonghyup and the farms, were recognized by the local market and export companies, increasing the satisfaction of the exporters.
On this day, the city provided high-quality strawberry cultivation technology education and strawberry pest and disease control technology education to the export farms, urged compliance with pesticide management and ripening control, and reaffirmed its commitment to securing overseas market channels through collaboration.
Miryang Nonghyup emphasized the importance of minimizing claims to the export farms, explained the early implementation of safety inspections for exports in the second half of the year, and once again urged proper sorting methods and delivery procedures.
A participating strawberry farmer said, "In the difficult agricultural product distribution market affected by COVID-19 and price fluctuations, with the help of the city and Nonghyup, we were able to safely complete exports in the first half of the year, greatly relieving concerns about securing sales channels."
