View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kang Sharon] The Gyeongsangnam-do Office of Education announced the regular personnel appointments for local government officials as of July 1, 2021, involving a total of 744 people, including 176 promotions: 1 to grade 3, 3 to grade 4, 4 to grade 5, and 168 to grade 6 or below.
This personnel appointment focused on maintaining the continuity of Gyeongnam education policy and placing field-centered qualified personnel who can actively and proactively respond to the changing educational environment.
Key appointments include Shin Gi-seok, Administrative Director of Gimhae Education Support Office, promoted to grade 3 and appointed as Director of Gimhae Library; and three individuals promoted to grade 4: Kang Man-jo, Head of School Support Division; Ji Gye-du, Head of Labor-Management Cooperation Division; Kwon Sang-tae, Head of Future School Promotion Team; Lee Dong-chun of the Education Research Information Center; Kim Ki-nam of the Science Education Center; Jeong Hyun-joo, Director of the Education Comprehensive Welfare Center; Seong Jeom-bong, Administrative Director of Gimhae Education Support Office; Jo Yi-bong, Policy Planning Officer; Shin Seung-wook, Auditor; and Park Jong-hwan, Head of Climate Environment Promotion Team.
In this appointment, to strengthen continuity and expertise in work, personnel with less than two years of service in the headquarters were minimally transferred, and grade 5 officials working at the provincial office, regional education support offices, and schools were cross-assigned to allow mid-level managers to gain diverse experiences in various positions.
Balanced personnel appointments were also emphasized, including appointing many female public officials to key positions such as Administrative Support Division Heads at education support offices.
For grade 5 administrative officers, those with experience as department staff at the headquarters and rich field experience as administrative directors at schools were assigned as Administrative Support Division Heads at education support offices to facilitate smoother communication with the educational field.
In military areas, capable personnel from the local region were assigned as much as possible to ensure smooth collaboration with local governments and the successful implementation of local projects.
