'Care Together! Growth for All!' Changwon City Care Policy Public Forum Held
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Changwon City, Gyeongnam, held the 'Together Care! Everyone Grows! Changwon City Care Policy Citizen Forum' at City Hall on the 18th, with about 80 citizens participating.
This forum was organized to diagnose the current status of care in Changwon City and the challenges of gender-equal care, and to share citizens' ideas on care policies.
In a preliminary survey question about the main caregiver, 61.4% answered mother, and 29.8% answered equal parenting by both spouses, confirming the need for gender-equal care.
Citizens participating in the forum agreed on the necessity of expanding safe and nearby care facilities, operating region-specific customized care, and expanding and strengthening the capacity of care personnel.
Accordingly, the city plans to hold a second in-depth forum on August 18th in Naeseo-eup, hosted by the social cooperative Maeul-eul Damda.
