Jeongeup-si Conducts 'Safety Inspections of Major Facilities' in Preparation for the Monsoon Season
[Jeongeup=Asia Economy Honam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Kim Jaegil] Jeongeup City in Jeonbuk announced on the 18th that it will conduct safety inspections of 95 major business sites and key facilities such as underground passages in the region by the 21st in preparation for the rainy season.
This inspection will thoroughly check whether safety facilities are installed to prepare for heavy rain and remove obstacles that hinder water flow.
Reinforcement work will be promoted in areas prone to flooding and landslides, and efforts will be focused on maintaining drainage facilities such as drainage pump stations and underground passages.
In addition, the city plans to thoroughly prepare for heavy rain damage by promoting emergency duty of city hall and eup/myeon/dong staff during heavy rain advisories and warnings.
Prior to this, on the 16th, the city inspected five drainage pump stations, eight underground passages, and three local river maintenance construction sites, led by Maeng Yongin, Director of Urban Safety Bureau.
The city plans to prioritize the safety and lives of citizens by promptly removing disaster risk factors through inspections and making thorough preparations against flood damage.
