Hyundai Construction Selected as Preferred Negotiator for GTX-C Line... Wangsimni and Indeogwon Stations Added (Update)
[Asia Economy Reporter Jo Gang-wook] The Hyundai Construction Consortium has been selected as the preferred negotiation partner for the Metropolitan Area Express Railway (GTX)-C line project connecting Deokjeong in Yangju, Gyeonggi Province, and Suwon.
The Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport announced on the 17th that the Hyundai Construction Consortium received the highest score in the evaluation of the GTX-C line private investment project.
The ministry plans to designate the consortium as the preferred negotiation partner on the 18th.
The investors in this consortium include Hyundai Construction, Hanwha Construction, Taeyoung Construction, Dongbu Construction, Ssangyong Construction, and KB GTX-C Specialized Private Investment Type Special Asset Investment Trust (SOC).
Earlier, the Hyundai Construction Consortium proposed Wangsimni Station and Indeogwon Station as additional stops, the ministry said. Thus, the two newly added stations to the existing 10 stops have been effectively decided as Wangsimni Station and Indeogwon Station.

The ministry stated, "We plan to form a government negotiation team within this month to start negotiations and actively proceed with follow-up procedures aiming to conclude the implementation agreement by the end of this year."
