The 14th Korea University Student Advertising Competition Held
Theme: 'Overcoming the COVID-19 Crisis for Small Business Owners'
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and the Korea Federation of Advertising Associations announced on the 17th that they will hold the Korea Student Advertising Competition. The theme is a plan to overcome the COVID-19 crisis for small business owners and self-employed individuals. The competition is conducted in connection with advertising and public relations departments of universities nationwide. Students can create their works under the guidance of their professors. Advertising industry experts will give special lectures at the participating universities and also serve as judges. Professors who wish to link the competition to their courses can apply by September 10 by incorporating the competition theme into their second semester course plans. The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism explained, "It is meaningful in that the government, academia, and advertising industry collaborate to discover talent." Even if not linked to courses, any university student can form a team (2 to 5 members), appoint a supervising professor, and participate. Submission and judging will take place in November. One team will receive the Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Award and a prize of 5 million won. Participants will also have the opportunity to gain practical experience in advertising company roles. For more details, please refer to the 'Korea Student Advertising Competition' website.
