[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] North Korea continued the Workers' Party plenary meeting for the second day, holding a conference to finalize goals and policies for the second half of this year.
The Korean Central News Agency reported on the 17th, "The second day of the 3rd plenary meeting of the 8th Central Committee of the Party continued on June 16," stating this.
At the meeting, sectoral subcommittees were organized for detailed research and discussions to effectively and impartially carry out the struggle tasks for the second half of the year, and research and consultations were conducted.
The sectoral subcommittees were divided into metal and railway transport, chemical industry, electricity, coal, and machinery industry, construction materials, light industry, agriculture, emergency quarantine, anti-socialist and non-socialist struggle, and Party affairs, with members of the Party Political Bureau Standing Committee and Political Bureau members guiding the research and consultations.
