Over 60,000 Citizens Sign Petition to Attract Yangsan 'K-Bio Lab Hub'!
Citizens' signatures for attracting the K-Bio Lab Hub in Yangsan-si, Gyeongnam, have received the consent of 68,622 people by the 14th.

[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Yangsan City, Gyeongnam Province, announced on the 16th that the number of participants in the signature campaign to attract the ‘K-Bio Lab Hub’ has exceeded 60,000.
The city launched the signature campaign from May 27 to attract a bio lab hub that can provide one-stop support for new drug development startups to conduct research, development, and prototype production, and received signatures from 68,622 citizens by the 14th.
Signatures from citizens continued mainly at the city hall, eup/myeon/dong administrative welfare centers, and apartment bulletin boards, and related organizations and social groups such as Yangsan Pusan National University Hospital actively participated in the signature campaign to lend their support.
In addition, supportive comments from citizens hoping for the attraction continued online through the city’s official Instagram and mom cafes.
The applicant organization, Gyeongsangnam-do Province, is also conducting an online signature campaign targeting 3 million residents to gather the will of the residents for the attraction, and the city decided to extend the signature campaign until the 29th to form a consensus among citizens and reflect their will to attract the hub.

A Yangsan City official said, “More than 60,000 valuable signatures from citizens have been collected in a short period,” and added, “We will definitely attract the K-Bio Lab Hub so that the citizens’ wishes will not be in vain.”
