Miryang City Signs Business Agreement with Korea Natural Disaster Association
Cooperation to Prevent and Reduce Damage from Natural Disasters
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] On the 16th, Miryang City in Gyeongnam announced that it has signed a business agreement with the Korea Natural Disaster Association, a corporation, to prevent and reduce damage from natural disasters.
This agreement was promoted to enhance natural disaster response capabilities by introducing advanced disaster prevention technologies from the Disaster Association, which is composed of experts with extensive experience in disaster prevention, environment, meteorology, and climate fields from corporations, media, and government.
The main contents include research for damage reduction, improvement of disaster prevention technology, advancement of meteorological science technology, and joint cooperation for necessary resources in related fields.
Mayor Park Il-ho said, “Miryang City is doing its best to respond to disasters such as flood prevention projects and maintenance of disaster risk zones,” and added, “This agreement is also expected to play a significant role in preventing and reducing natural disasters in Miryang City.”
