As the nationwide COVID vaccine vaccination rate is rapidly increasing and phased adjustments to quarantine measures are expected, the county government plans to discover incentive measures in various administrative fields and will actively promote them starting in July.
In particular, as of the 16th, the COVID-19 vaccination status in Haenam-gun shows that among 60,783 eligible individuals aged 18 and over, 31,241 have received at least one dose of the vaccine, representing a vaccination rate of 50.5%.
With more than half of the total eligible population vaccinated, the county plans to prepare proactive incentive measures and focus on the rapid promotion of key projects such as the recovery of daily life and revitalization of the local economy.
Accordingly, Haenam residents who have completed the first dose of vaccination, including those fully vaccinated, will be granted free admission to local tourist attractions (such as Ttangkkeut Observatory, Usuyeong Tourist Site, and Yun Seon-do Historic Site) starting next month, and will be allowed entry without masks. Additionally, a 50% discount will be applied to usage fees at Ttangkkeut Auto Camping Site and Hwangto Nara Theme Village, as well as a 50% discount on the use of Useul Swimming Pool for one month.
Other benefits include partial exemption of admission fees and tuition for cultural and artistic performances, exemption of tuition fees for regular courses at the Lifelong Learning Center, and additional points awarded during public work recruitment.
For the elderly, who have the highest vaccination rate, completing the second dose will allow priority participation in senior colleges, permission for meals at senior centers, priority allocation for senior center visiting programs, and permission for face-to-face visits at nursing facilities.
Even visitors from other regions who are vaccinated will be exempt from advance reservations for Haenam’s beaches, which are scheduled to open next month, and will be allowed entry without masks.
Furthermore, a 50% discount on city tour fees, a 50,000 KRW discount on special travel packages linked with travel agencies, and discounts of 50% on accommodation and 80% on experience fees at Heukseoksan Healing Forest will also be provided.
To receive these discounts, individuals must present a vaccination certificate or an electronic vaccination certificate issued via the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency’s ‘COOV’ app along with an ID.
