This event was organized to carry out projects based on software technologies and knowledge such as artificial intelligence (AI) and to share the results, with 172 enrolled students participating. It was conducted as a contest in five categories: △AI·SW △Game Development △Game Ideas △Portfolio △Startup Ideas, along with a programming competition.
After receiving submissions (a total of 43 teams in 6 categories) from April 9 to May 23, the final winners were selected on the 8th through two rounds of judging, including student voting and evaluation by judges.
In the AI·SW category, the grand prize was awarded to the team ‘Neohuiduldo moDel eottae’ who implemented an idea that helps anyone take well-composed portrait photos with just simple camera adjustments. This service allows users to input their desired photo ratio and then take photos at the specified ratio during subsequent shoots.
In the Game Development category, the team ‘Heundeulheundeul’ won the grand prize for developing an action game investigating evidence of a culprit who spread a virus. The game was praised for providing a satisfying experience by efficiently navigating routes, climbing urban obstacles with bare hands, running parkour-style, and delivering dynamic gameplay.
In the Game Ideas category, the team ‘Takoyaki’ received the grand prize for planning a mini-game collection themed on ‘Tradition’ to raise awareness about neighboring countries attempting to infringe on Korean culture and to promote Korean heritage worldwide.
In the Portfolio category, which presents achievements in software-related papers, clubs, certifications, and projects both on and off campus, student Ahn Yunho (majoring in Human Intelligence Information Engineering) won the grand prize.
In the Startup Ideas category, the team ‘DNAWA’ was awarded the grand prize for proposing an application idea for a DTC (Direct To Customer) genetic testing platform service, and in the programming competition, student Lee Seungmin (majoring in Game) won the grand prize.
The submitted works will be uploaded to the ‘Best Sangmyung’ app developed for SW education. Each work will include descriptions, related videos, additional materials, and feedback from students who viewed the works.
