Road Traffic Authority and Korea Airports Corporation Sign MOU to Enhance Airport Traffic Safety

[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Gwan-joo] The Korea Road Traffic Authority signed a business agreement with Korea Airports Corporation on the 14th to prevent traffic accidents and create a safe traffic environment.
Through this agreement, both organizations promised to establish a cooperation and support system to realize the public value of "creating a safe and happy world for all citizens from traffic accidents." They also agreed to mutually cooperate in safety projects and traffic safety promotions to spread and establish a safe traffic culture.
According to the agreement, Korea Airports Corporation will cooperate in supporting the Korea Road Traffic Authority's traffic safety policy activities and promoting traffic safety using facilities within the airport corporation. The Korea Road Traffic Authority will conduct traffic safety inspections and consulting on internal and external roads at 14 regional airports nationwide, including Gimpo and Jeju airports, to improve airport traffic safety. Additionally, it will support Korea Airports Corporation's traffic safety education and provide emergency situation guidance through TBN Korea Traffic Broadcasting in case of abnormal operations such as disasters or accidents at airports.

Lee Joo-min, Director of the Korea Road Traffic Authority, said, "This agreement will be an opportunity to create safe traffic infrastructure on roads around airports used by travelers and to take responsibility for the traffic safety of airport workers within the workplace."
