SK Developer Communication Community ‘DEVOCEAN’ Launch
[Asia Economy Reporter Seulgina Cho] An open community where SK’s ICT capabilities can interact and communicate with developers from startups and universities has been launched.
On the 14th, SK Telecom announced the launch of ‘Devotion,’ a developer communication (DR) channel connecting development experts from SK ICT family companies such as SK Hynix, SK㈜ C&C, SK Broadband, and SK Planet with external talents. Devotion stands for ‘Developers’ Ocean.’
Devotion, SK’s first open developer communication channel, consists of ▲a 'Blog' sharing the latest development-related posts and technologies written directly by SK developers and introducing tech news ▲a 'Video' section uploading videos, summits, and seminars featuring vivid voices of SK developers ▲an 'Experts' section introducing specialists in various fields within SK ▲an 'Open Source' portal guiding to SK’s publicly released open source projects ▲and an 'Events' section introducing internal and external ICT events.
In particular, SK focused on expanding the scope of sharing and participation by external developers in the content composition. External developers can share knowledge with over 100 SK ICT experts, as well as engage in Q&A and mentoring. Lectures conducted by external organizations or individuals can also be uploaded to Devotion after going through an application process.

Shin Sang-gyu, Head of Corporate Culture Center at SK Telecom, said, “We will evolve Devotion into a platform representing the development culture of the entire SK group, including the SK ICT family, and establish it as a channel for communication and sharing with external developers.”
