Gimhae City Launches One-Month Comprehensive Inspection of Urban Area Off-Street Parking Lots
[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters, Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Gimhae City in Gyeongnam announced on the 11th that it will conduct a comprehensive inspection of building-attached parking lots for one month to create a pleasant parking environment.
The city has organized five teams of two members each to inspect 181 newly constructed buildings in the downtown area that received usage approval in 2020.
In particular, the inspection will focus on building-attached parking lots in the downtown area with severe parking shortages, checking for changes in use such as converting parking lots into offices or commercial spaces, and cases where the parking lots have lost their function due to being piled with goods.
For minor issues found during the inspection, immediate corrective actions will be taken on-site. For buildings violating laws, the city will issue correction orders with a set deadline to encourage voluntary compliance (such as demolition), and if not complied with, administrative measures such as imposing fines and reporting to judicial authorities will be enforced.
