View original image[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Lee Sang-hyun] Kang Seok-ju, mayor of Tongyeong City, Gyeongnam, visited the National Assembly on the 9th and met with Park Wan-joo, Policy Committee Chairman of the Democratic Party of Korea, and Jin Sun-mi, Chairperson of the Land, Infrastructure and Transport Committee, to request active interest and support for the promotion of key projects to resolve regional issues.
The main projects proposed that day include the construction of a bypass road for Local Road No. 67, improvement of intersections in the Tongyeong section of National Road No. 14, establishment of the Tongyeong Hydrogen Transportation Complex Base, improvement of the parking environment at Tongyeong Port Passenger Terminal, and the construction of a comprehensive marine safety experience center, totaling six projects requiring 316 billion KRW.

Mayor Kang said, “We will concentrate all administrative efforts to ensure that the new transportation network project, the bypass road construction for Local Road No. 67, is finally reflected in the 5th Five-Year Plan for National and Local Road Construction.” He added, “We will do our best to revitalize the local economy and create jobs.”
