[Asia Economy Beijing=Special Correspondent Jo Young-shin] Ahead of the Group of Seven (G7) summit, senior officials from the U.S. and China’s Ministries of Commerce held a phone call.
Xinhua News Agency reported on the 10th that Wang Wentao, China’s Minister of Commerce, and Gina Raimondo, U.S. Secretary of Commerce, spoke by phone and exchanged views on economic matters between China and the U.S.
Xinhua stated that Minister Wang and Secretary Raimondo agreed on the necessity of dialogue and exchanges in the China-U.S. economic sector and agreed to continue communication.
