[Asia Economy Reporter Lee Ji-eun] Choi Jong-geon, the First Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, who is visiting the United States, announced on the 9th (local time) that through a meeting with Wendy Sherman, Deputy Secretary of State, they have laid the groundwork to swiftly implement follow-up measures from the Korea-US summit.

He added, "We agreed that this Korea-US summit achieved more comprehensive and meaningful results than ever before," and explained, "The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the State Department decided to accelerate efforts to ensure practical follow-up measures." He also noted that they agreed on close cooperation between Korea and the US to resume substantive dialogue with North Korea.
