[Asia Economy Yeongnam Reporting Headquarters Reporter Park Saeyan] Changwon City, Gyeongnam Province, is conducting a special inspection of COVID-19 quarantine rules targeting all foreign-operated and foreign-used restaurants from the 8th to the 11th.
Recently, in nearby cities, chain infections have continued, including a cluster infection of 68 people occurring at restaurants mainly used by foreign workers who have come from all over the country during the local onion harvest season.
Accordingly, the city is inspecting a total of 79 locations, including 52 foreign-operated and foreign-used restaurants and 27 foreign food sales businesses within the jurisdiction.
This inspection includes checking for symptomatic workers, verifying visitor logs, and strongly recommending proactive COVID-19 testing for foreign managers and workers.
